Our story

Waypoint Software was founded by a software engineer and product leader with over twenty years of experience across the technology industry. That time was spent working with and building a range of technology companies — from early-stage startups to mature scale-ups — in hands-on roles spanning software engineering, product management, and product leadership.

After contributing to the founding and growth of multiple companies, the time came to build independently. To take everything learned about what makes software products succeed — and what makes them fail — and apply it in a focused, unhurried way.

The goal was simple: build products that solve real problems, for specific audiences, and keep improving them based on what customers actually need.

What we believe

The best software products do one thing exceptionally well. They are built for a specific audience, designed to solve a genuine problem, and refined continuously based on real feedback. We believe in focus over breadth, simplicity over complexity, and craft over compromise.

We also believe that software should be honest. No dark patterns, no artificial friction, no bait-and-switch pricing. If a product is genuinely valuable, customers will stay because of that value — not because leaving is hard.

What we build

We build two kinds of products:

B2B tools for professional teams — particularly in product management, strategy, and operations. Products that help teams align on what matters, plan with confidence, and execute consistently throughout the quarter.

B2C tools for individuals — apps that help people navigate everyday challenges, designed with the same care and craft as our professional products.

Each product is built to stand on its own: a focused tool that earns its place in your workflow.

Our approach

We keep our studio small by design. There are no venture investors to satisfy, no growth-at-any-cost pressures, and no distractions. Our only measure of success is whether our customers find genuine value in the products we build.

We move steadily and thoughtfully: shipping often, listening carefully, and improving continuously. We believe this is how durable, trustworthy software is made.

The name

A waypoint is a defined position on a route — a marker that tells you where you are and confirms you're heading in the right direction. That's what we try to build into every product we make: clarity of direction, confidence in progress, and a clear path toward where you want to be.
